All the family now know of our plans to retire. So now I can blog. For many years, after a few Narrowboat holidays, we knew that we wanted to retire buy a Narrowboat and live on the Canals. We are here at last, busy clearing out/selling all my craft stash (it taking forever) and Colin is sorting out the Garage/ his workshop. Loads being sold or given away as we won't have room for it all on the boat. Very hard, sat or stood looking at things and thinking "Do I need it or do I want it" Weve had the decorators in, tidying up the house. New Garage door as ours got damaged years ago someone trying to get it to see what they could nick!!. So once we've tidied up the back Garden our house will be up for sale.
Exciting times ahead for us. The plan once we've sold our house will be to buy a camper van, hit the roads with our 2 dogs and find our Narrowboat.
When we have a definite date we will then have to sale all the furniture as we wont be taking it with us, there will be no space!! Possibly a house/Garage sale for one or two days to sale everything!!?? Something to think about.
